Re: Surviving on the cloud with only dialup modem ? 33mB webpages ? Wifi?

RCN wifi is improving on job assignments on connection to the internet. old busy drop back to 1 mbps making your connection useless will be gone. They have to work on wifi brands which connects too slow on dns servers.

This is the result of many bigdata website taking less time to deliver webpages of data summary.

Belkin pcmcia wifi cards f5d7100 has 9 versions, they all use different drivers to be downloaded from belkin website googled.

Hpwever, v 1315 using popular broadcom 4306 chip is hard to find the right drivers ln the internet.

Re: Surviving on the cloud with only dialup modem ? 33mB webpages ? Wifi?

Linux wifi drivers of 802.11b are all obsoleted by browsers and operating systems. CableTV(set-top box routers) connections need 802.11g to run WiFi.

Although 802.11ac is backward compatible with all the older wifi; itself is not yet a standard.

Yet, it will be available for ARRS customers immediately.

Many usb wifi were popular years ago. Realtek8191(/N) and Ralink2870(/g), I had installed on Dynex 4 port usb pcmcia card. Today i had them connected to RCN wifi and they both work flawlessly.

wifi drivers my share name of files, that install only one is best not to crash the operating system.

I have used both pcmcia and usb wifi on the same laptop, but had bad problems installing two on USB or pcmcia bus.

Once wiring is plug in correctly, RCN telephone works.

Once Firefox4 is reinstalled over v12.8, no more problems with laptop.

Yesterday, RCN reprogrammed Arris wifi router in a few minutes while I was watching. then all the lights came back, and it seemed to run wifi faster.

ARRS equipment can be upgraded online. Its the reason their stock is a good investment in the long run. It closed at $17.07.

Many suppliers did not have their equipment software upgradable, especially permanent installation.

Booting into internet with wifi, takes 3 minutes, which is no instant phone speed dial, but computers are loaded with devices not in use.

so, phones are in and computers are not as convenient.

RCN job assignment wifi upgrade can now do denial of service by disabling the wifi device, so that you have to manually enable it and reconnect to cable modem.

This started with battery operation, now its doing it on aC power.

So far only on one laptop with W2k.

After shaking down browsers, Firefox4.01 was found to be usable with W2k and winXP.

Older browser without the plug-ins and add-ons make life simpler using wifi.
