Noodle soup in a hurry ? or How to cook meat tender ?

Start with six cups of water, put in the  one pound of raw meat and one pound of vegetables, and 8 ozs of noodles.  Season with salt and pepper. Serves 4.

Bring it to a boil(10 minutes). Then turn down the heat to a simmer for 20-25 minutes, test the food by piecing with a knife. Stop cooking if it is tender.

Add teriyaki sauce to the soup or ketchup if you like.

Re: Noodle soup in a hurry ? or How to cook meat tender ?

The skill to cook meat more tender is in the knowledge of cooking meat in water and simmer for 20-25 minutes. Then test the tenderness by piercing with a steak knife. If there is no resistance when you pierce the meat, it is tender as it can be.

This applies to cooked meat as well as raw meat after bring it to a boil then simmer for the proper langth of time. Serve in water or not, doen not change the tenderness.

This skill can be tested every day. Your cooking can be based in noodles or rice as the ingredient. then add any raw or cooked or canned vegetables. All the ingredients are cooked for the same time cycle.
