TV remote operates smart TV with internet access ?

The consumer electronics is taking over home computers to access internet for communications and do daily chores on business dealings. This will happen when smart TV adapt itself to edgeQam transmission methods.

What does it mean to the computer industry?

It means that transmission method will take over the computer design and operating system. EdgeQam method uses RF/IF for multichannel data solution. Massive parallel data processing is planned and preselected. Each computer if using USB bus will have 128 channels of data being processed in smart TV..

Linux operating system, lacking coupling to bios, will not be able to keep up with bios preselect nature of input/output drivers. Linux started with only serial ports and parallel ports in /dev/drivers and memory address switching of PCI bus in IBM PC. Today, using USB bus, PCI bus is no longer needed. And drivers for USB devices can be embedded. Its going to be a totally different ballgame with new computer architecture. Smart TV is only TV display with Mpeg4/h.264 data and active-x directory computer control. Smart TV with massive parallel cpus in the future will not be able to switch operating system due to the subscription nature of edgeQam channels preselection.

You heard it here first. Please contribute to keep this website going by posting your ideas or contribute money. Thank you in advance.

Footnote:
edgeQam channels are too many, each computer bios has to define the data channels useable by RF carrier frequencies, IF frequencies and data compression methods(reduced pixels, prml, ascii), etc. in the firmware of bios. Smart TV in the beginning will be using set-top box for internet connection and internet TV.

Re: TV remote operates smart TV with internet access ?

For many years now, TVs have vga input for computers. It is not a surprise to have internet broadband connection(disguised ethernet or WiFi/n). But ultimately Multichannels of edgeQam transmission will be on USB connection. EdgeQam is satellite transmission, RF on glass in fiber optic network, and RF on wired telephone lines(pots) using repeaters.

So, smart TV has been coming trend for some time now. The final version is not yet the LG smart TV. Or any smart phones like iPhone. Transmission technology and multitasking processing on USB standards is the future trend.

Re: TV remote operates smart TV with internet access ?

What can smart TV do, its on the internet and cableTV?

When you turn on the smart TV time and date, you can sign in or exit on the top panel. There is a panel for live cableTV with channel display, if you like superimposed guide on the bottom line; choice of inputs, setup and favorites. Another panel to the right for premium "+" and selections of netflix, huluplus, youtube, picasa, and twitter. Last panel is for TV Apps "+"; unit convertor, national flag, puzzle, sudoku, twitlive, and winesound. On the bottom panel, you have selections of search, App store, Tarot, Horoscope, Arrow, Tie, and "+" which is my apps.

The TV Magic Motion remote only has four large buttons, to do everything, simulating a mouse with pointer to be clicked on the TV screen. Fortunately you only do 140 words of twits or even shorter email. Its for watching not for writing books. Someday, smart will have to be smarter to use voice inputs for character recognition?

Re: TV remote operates smart TV with internet access ?

Its been a year since the smart TV.

Some set-top boxes Mele A1000(virtual wifi in sd card) can be adapted to DTV(hdmi) or composite video monitor.

The future is cableTV with interactive set-top boxes(channel 3/4 RF modulator) to serve as computers at home.
