Howto save memory if you load livecd in memory ? squashfs ? More

Linux kernels are run by disk operating system by scsi emulation, then USB is also scsi emulation. Same with pcmcia slots. But, the architecture could be strictly memory based. No hdd.

Then you might mount a data storage device and save all data there.

It means that by garbage collection on exit or quitting an application; memory can be reused for other apps in sequential operations.

If you recycle and free the memory for each application, you save memory.

Austrumi v2.4.5 has garbage collection. when its installed in 320 mB of memory; each time you change application the free memory changes in value. Unfortunately less than 10 mB of free memory is insufficient to run most apps. Then, we have to delete some of the apps to free up more memory to run wifi and browser for internet surfing.

Deleting all the desktop programs will help to run browser and wifi.. If it is still not enough, then ad squashfs to compress the kernels and all the apps. Use swap file to decompress squashfs to run the operating system in ram.

Many older laptops have less than 320 mB of drams. And browser need at least 64 mB free memory to show 10 webpages per session. So, we may have to get rid of some desktop apps to save memory to use browser to view internet webpages. You might also use 800x600 resolution to save memory on your laptop?

To save memory in modern operating system, we discovered that browser store webpages not in reduced pixels. if data transfer is in reduced pixels(10x to 100x in webpage resolution), memory used for storage will by minimal.

We are now offering webpage creators the jpeg zoom codes to reduce their webpage to 320x240 or ARM cpu's 240x175 normal resolution.

This pixels per webpage will be extremely economical for memory installed in tablets and smartphones.

Footnote:
In pixel reduction, pictures are easy to zoom down and still have an impression to expand back. The fonts however had to go through another step using pixel displacement technology. Each ascill code will be replaced by a colored pixel from a dictionary(or fonts translated into one colored pixel dictionary). So that 16x9 pixeled fonts can be reduced down to one pixel arrays in a picture. You can use marker language(html or active-x or foobar) to separate fonts from the rest of the picture during pixel reduction process.

In a data center, the packet containing the webpage will go through a packet converter to separate fonte from picture and audio to different servers to do the conversion then reassemble them in an ondemand server to the user of the reduced pixel webpage. Packet converter made jobs simple then reassemble the overall webpage into one packet again.

For wifi traffic control, we only have to start with 2:1 reduction and progress until beyond 10x reduction maybe ultimately 100x reduction. with a page of one pixel arrays of ascii codes translated from a dictionary..
