Interactive TV how to design into the mobile system?

For many years old TV(s) were using set-top box to get more functions thru channel 3/4.

Today, the ARM cpu(mobile) made TV(s) a monitor using hdmi and mpeg4/h.264.

The home multichannel set-top boxes can service the whole home for TV(s) in different rooms. Wiring is simplified by wifi. Each TV has wifi to channel 3/4(RF modulator). And wifi responds to remote(LED) just like keyboard input or touch screen. Wifi can also directly connect to internet thru home set-top box

This will extend the usefulness of cableTV systems.

Re: Interactive TV how to design into the mobile system?

There are some ARM based set-top boxes such as Mele A1000 with motherboard and remote plus room for a hdd. It can do browser extension apps and games for internet interactive TV.

The only thing not included is the channel 3/4 RF modulator, which can connect to analog TV, to make them computers too.

But in the cableTV business, this may be covered to have a very good home system; old and new.

Mobile interactive TV can connect with friends on facebook account to play games or chat(group session).

Group session needs proxy server usage for a number of users to sign on, and packets go to group of users simultaneously. Proxy server can be virtual on the first user's computer. This maybe patented?

Re: Interactive TV how to design into the mobile system?

ARRIS suppies a Moxi wifi set-top box for whole house solution and multiroom TV with 1000 channels of TV programming.

It needs individual room set-top boxes with WiFi to make all TV interactive on internet. Individual TV then becomes computers with ARM cpu. Moxi then will provide 2000 channels of TV movies and websites as data center for internet cloud computing.

Worldwide digital divide will end.
