Timezone assigned by ip address of wifi network? every wifi connection

Apparently, we need time zone automation every where we get on wifi? ip address assignment to your MAC address will give your computer the timezone and location.

No use going around trying to tell your computer where you are, ip address is the trust factor in security, and location identification is important and automatic so you can not fool people with password when your location is wrong for that password. Once locale is defined, language and keyboard map can be switched by shift-alt? Austrumi languages has shift-alt to swtich keyboards.

Linux open source is usually not thoroughly thought through.

Re: Timezone assigned by ip address of wifi network? every wifi connection

We have DNS servers that assign ip address(ipv4) and can tell us the location of that ip address. But the new ipv6 has more digits, and still uses DNS servers. And yet, the gateway routers also serve as ipv6 servers(DNS), So you may have to ping the ip address on the gateway router to get the locale and time zone?

Its that simple? Yes indeedy. Then keyboardmap can be set and shift-alt to another language setting to answer email or webpage GUI.

Router drivers Microsoft is planning will have the time zone and locale info? Then Microsoft can workthe info into their operating system. Is it just as easy to have the router(MAC address) store google map location when it is installed. On virtual wifi network, we have gps express software.

There is no hurry, locale is going automation in the wifi overall system. Hackers can not hide in different location. ipv6 is subdivided on the map depending on population density. Some day ipv6 may become government's censors tool.

Re: Timezone assigned by ip address of wifi network? every wifi connection

Since June 8, 2011, Cisco had turned on their ipV6 packet converter to try to work ipV6 address format into the ipV4 world. We have to add google map to assign ipV6 address location.

This will enable most people to use Cisco equipment for ipv6 later.

ipV4 is ...1 format, 32 bit, 4 groups of three digit decimal(0-9) address.

ipV6 is :::::::XXXX format, 128 bit 8 groups of 16 bit hexadecimal(0-F) digits. It makes packet headers more efficient for data transfer to any ipV6 address. Many of the hexadecimal numbers will have definitive meanings of geographical location.

This new ip address can identify the user, much better and contain time zone, country, language and keyboardmap etc. It is ideally assigned when you logon to any wifi hotspot. And given an ipV6 address, it can report on your identity and associated data. More work will be done by telephone companies around the world. Cisco's attempt does not make a standard for telephone systems. It will become part of the AT&T unix operating system for satellite transmission of data.

This is why WiFi traffic system is going thru browser design(with Microsoft), and browser functions will be able to fold into AT&T Unix operating system.

You could not believe this, but ipV6 was delayed to get google map into the assignment process; not because ISPs are dragging their feet to implement ipV6, but telephone companies have not a standard for ipV6 format assignment method. Now it will be world map wifi locations.

WiFi can be roamed about. MAC address can identify new locations of ipV6 address on the world map.

Now we have a standard for the use of ipV6. Censors and population density and economic development can be planned much better.

Re: Timezone assigned by ip address of wifi network? every wifi connection

Ip address is used to supplement password so that hackers not having the same ip address can not pass through without duplicating your ip address in their cookies; for many years passwords survived as security code. Now, with wifi network and ipV6, security is strengthened by world map location definition.

If you happened to move around, your ip addresses will be known; to identify your password. Identity theft will be a lot more difficult.

Even Einstein's theory of relativity will be tested to make sure one person can not be in two places.

Re: Timezone assigned by ip address of wifi network? every wifi connection

Virtual wifi network can be installed in any form of memory since sandisk shown it in cf cards a few years ago at CES in Las Vegas. Today, virtual wifi network is in Microsoft windows operating system if you see AEGIS protocol in network installed programs.

This means if wifi routers are installed on every street, Your ipV6 address will get you assigned information such as time zone, clock, language, keyboard map, etc. automatically.

Its coming.

Right now we are testing radio off when we are not connected to router, then turn radio on to connect ASAP. We are showing routr connected but no radio on signal. Then when our browser is send TX, we have to reconnect router and search DNS server for website ip address. It is very slow even if we use double click to get DNS server.

We will need a better logic and packet header to stay connected without radio on(preregistered ip address) for instant connect, and TX packet will download RX packets from website immediately through DNS record of the user. This is because http: address is not ipV4 or ipV6 address. Router DNS server just need a small database of favorite http: address converting to ipV4 or ipV6. Of course, we can convert http: favorites into ipV4 and ipV6 addresses in the browser faster than in Routers.
