Autoboot austrumi livecd in english

Edit ISOLINUX.CFG/SYSLINUX.CFG
It should look like this:
default al
prompt 1
timeout 10
display message.msg

label al
    kernel bzImage
    APPEND initrd=initrd.gz dolivecd
    lang_en

Inject this changed files into austrumi.iso

:)

Re: Autoboot austrumi livecd in english

Thanks.

We are trying to get Andreajs and Agita to have more cheatcodes on splash screen, not go directly into english version. The reason is obvious. There are more choices of quick install of computer peripheral config data(monitor resolution, etc.).

Unfortunately, we could use appended cheatcodes, if you like to improve the splash screen?

Also the new change in v2.0 may be Posix packets on Hal and Dbus all the way to internet from Austrumi? Browser may be booted directly in different language versions?

Have fun helping here?

Re: Autoboot austrumi livecd in english

I know,  I'm too lazy to wait & type "lang_en" every booting from livecd.
Straight I can get desktop english environment, just need to click setting, choose language and ready to go.
Just a hope to boot directly in to language what we want.
sorry i dont understand latvia

Re: Autoboot austrumi livecd in english

There are five languages to boot into; so you may have helped some one else who likes to do less typing in the splash screen?

Re: Autoboot austrumi livecd in english

Finally I found, how to boot austrumi livecd directly everything in english.
You need a texteditor to edit isolinux.cfg and isomaker like free isomaster inside puppylinux livecd. For other language just change lang_en to lang_ru for russian etc.

Modified isolinux.cfg looks like this:

default al lang_en

label al
    kernel bzImage
    APPEND initrd=initrd.gz dolivecd
    lang_en

Have fun!

Re: Autoboot austrumi livecd in english

Now you have to look at Knoppix cheatcodes and see if you can add to Austrumi splash screen?

Re: Autoboot austrumi livecd in english

97722368 bytes long. 2766 downloads so far. Version 1.8.0 is dated November 17, 2008. today is November 24th, 2008.  Major change is Gnome office in FVWM window manager.

Austrumi has two developers, inni96 and agime in the Meinerts family(Andrejs and agita). For more info search for Austrumi wiki?

http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/austrumi

Once you downloaded, you can use remaster to change all the files. Generally, you have the iso file then load vmlinux into the drams. The iso file has the splash screen batch processing codes.
